Booking Terms & ConditionsA selection of canoes are usually available, along with the boat included with your holiday let. Calor Gas which provides heat and light in the cottages, and outboard fuel are charged extra. A £100 per week booking deposit must be sent when booking. This deposit is NOT refundable under any circumstances. Once a deposit is paid you are responsible for the total balance as shown above unless a cancellation is accepted in writing. In any event, deposits will not be refunded in any circumstances. Any damage caused to house or contents, boats, engines or any other equipment will be charged for at full retail rates. You will be invoiced for all outstanding balances as indicated above on the final day of your holiday. Payment in full must be made by cash or cheque only on that day. We regret we are unable to accept any credit or debit card payments. All cheque payments should be made out to "A J LLOYD" Continental quilts and covers are provided, but you are requested to bring your own linen, including towels and tea towels. Please use a top and bottom sheet so that the covers can be kept clean. It is advisable to bring provisions with you, especially for the first day or two while you settle in and to keep two or three days in hand in case of bad weather. It is also advisable to bring wellies with you for the launching of boats and taking full advantage of the walks. Your car can be left in our own private car park at Arduaine. You may bring your own boat if you wish. Well behaved pets are welcome on Shuna, but please be aware that due to the presence of livestock on the island we may sometimes restrict the areas you are permitted to enter. The Bungalow and Garden houses have gas lighting in the kitchen and sitting rooms. Paraffin lamps and/or candles are provided for the other rooms. Please note that weather conditions dictate boat availability – we reserve the right at all times to restrict or cancel boat availability, but such restriction will make no change to the letting price. The island launch will collect you from Arduaine Pier on the day of your arrival and deliver you back there on the day of your departure. When arriving you MUST be at Arduaine Pier by 5pm on the Saturday you arrive. PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL otherwise you may keep others waiting. All luggage is delivered to your house on arrival and collected again at the end of your holiday. In cases of breakdowns or real emergencies you can leave a message either on Shuna 01852 314244, or the mainland 01852 300434 or island mobile on 07793459042. Arrangements can then be made to collect you on the Sunday. You must be ready to depart from the island pier by 10am on the day of your departure. If you are bringing your own boat please allow plenty of time for launching so that it can be towed across if necessary. Note that there is a telephone on the island for emergency use. Various mobile phone networks work quite well on many parts of the island and we strongly recommend you bring a mobile with you, as an important safety feature when you are out in your boat.
